Works amazing. Held my LMT 6.8 like a rock. I haven't had too much time to play with it yet, but for shooting down hill at long range targets it worked like a champ.

I used in Afghan with my sniper team and it helped us out. Make sure you have a good tripod to hold the weight of the gun because this product worked wonders.

A solid piece of Kit, works as well as everything else from LaRue: Solid As! The only week link with this system, is the Ball head Grip; Make sure You, Your S4, or LT. doesn't cheep out and get the light duty grip. Get the Heavy Duty Ball Head Grip: Manfrotto #322RC2

I teach firearms in the state of ohio and have utilized shooting sticks for seated and kneeling positions. While those do work well, i saw this product and wanted to try it out. I have been using it on oddly enough an old manfrotto tripod without the grip ball head. It still pans and traverses and is rock solid. I actually prefer this setup over the grip ball head as i have a grip head for a spotting scope and doesnt hold as well as i like. My rifle system (LMT MWS) is rock solid and i am able to easily shoot moa or better from seated and kneeling which in police precision rifle shooting is much more realistic than going prone all the time. I must say that my students have commented on how easy it is to shoot and comfortable it is. I have no idea if they have gone out and bought their own system or not as i know the manfrotto tripod is very pricey. I was lucky enough to have the old one sitting around but i HIGHLY recommend this setup. Now that i have used it and know what it is like, i would spend the money to buy another if needed. Although i doubt it at this point because its that well built.

I think for optocs or lighter rifles this is excellent. I wanted a high friction "live head" not just a lock and unlock. I ordered a different 3 way manfroto with same RC2 mount. As stated in LaRue website it didn't work. The other head had some extra metal around the mount that interfered. I plan to grind it off in future. I knew it was a risk to order it, and no regrets. I bought the 322 also. I've done a lot of photography in the past so had an old "real gitzo" steel tripod around. Very heavy duty. What I don't like is the head flex within the manfroto 322 female mount design, bearing surface area needs to be larger, the dove tail more acute and deeper. This is a manfroto design issue, not LaRue. I plan to mill a LaRue mount to work in an Arca Swiss dovetail large ball head. Far far superior to manfroto. It's tight as a puzzle piece. The Swiss dovetail is screw locked in. Slow no quick release but it locks up like a larue lever lock in tightness. Zero flex. I want a setup for an L129a1 style rifle with large heavy optic. I want a friction head that is live to shoot with that allows on the fly adjustments to the reticle for long range steel and varmits. Hold over and more action shooting. I do wish LaRue made a mount for Arca and or Really right stuff. That is more along LaRues Tier 1 level of quality. I plan to keep one LaRue factory mount for optics, and rifle sight in and groups. And one modded plate mount for superior ball heads. I realize the shooting community at large won't spend the cash for an Arca or RRS so understand why LaRue uses manfroto.

I have always wanted a tripod mount for my rifle. I bought this to use with my LWRC DMR and my swarovski/Bogen tripod. I agree with the review above, you will want to use a very strong tripod. Otherwise, you will not have enough strength to support the rifle. As far as the quality of the piece itself, it is worth every penny and is rock solid just like everything else that comes from Larue tactical.

Amazing! I use this with the Manfrotto tripod for Wildlife Management. A must have on those nights I have to make a solo run. I love everything LaRue Tactical especially the dry rub seasoning.

Works great. WAAAAY cheaper than a SADDLE type, and faster to mount & dismount for those unexpected approaches while hunting. 11 pound AR .308 rifle with CMMG Mk3 HandGuard (KeyMod). Rail holds it sturdy!

Bought this to have a sturdy platform for long durations of time. So far it's held up pretty damn well and I'm impressed with its quality. I'd definetly regiment this to my buddies. My system is 33 lbs total and held on its own.

A great tool, I purchased it and the ball head as instructed and it works very well. I would like to find a manufacturer of a soft mount so I can use this to mount my Mk14Mod0 to my M3 tripod. Thank you for all your hard work and your amazing ability to work with the individual to provide what is needed. Thank you, david in WY
